Location:

Normandy Oaks in Royal Oak (Normandy Rd. ½ mile east of Coolidge)

Dates:

We will be playing on Wednesdays, beginning May 6 through Wednesday, August 19. The total league time will be 16 weeks. We will reserve August 26 for a rainout or a party and a free round if we have any residual funds.

Time:

Start time will be 6:15pm for up to 32 golfers. We will try having two arrival times, 6:00 and 6:30. We don’t have a lot of time to waste, so it will be very important that we have players ready to play.

Play:

We will play a 2 person best-ball scramble. This will speed play and should be more fun. You will also be limited to 2 strokes over par. That should be more than enough effort or embarrassment on any one hole and will also help speed play. Both players will hit from the tee and then select the best shot. Both players will move to the location of the best ball and hit from there. Putting will follow the same format.

Records:

We will post winners for each week, send a weekly notice, and pay any winners the following week. Only one total net score will be submitted for each team. Each team will also be responsible for recording if a prize is due for a shot to the green, a spectacular shot, mooning, lunching, or anything else of merit. (We will give a golf ball for just about anything.)

Prizes:

Golf balls will be awarded each week for the following:

• Each player on the team with the lowest net score for the week will receive 3 golf balls.
• Each player on the team that has the lowest net score for the fore sum will receive one golf ball.
• Each player who hits the green off the tee (1^st. shot) will win one golf ball.
• Player with a spectacular shot or put, if recommended by both opponents, will receive one golf ball. (Spectacular is relative based on the skill of the player.)

Cost:

Course membership fee: Resident: $40.00 Non-resident: $50.00 $ 40-50.00

This entitles you to play at a lower rate ($10 vs $15) during the league and at other

times during the week. You can also play at the Royal Oak course at the lower rate

and in other events at both courses.

Weekly golf fee is $10.00 with your membership ($15 if you are not a member) $ 150.00

(Note too, that you are only paying for 15 out of a 16 week schedule.)

*Money saved when a player misses a week will be used to supplement the cost of prizes.

Payment:

First payment of $100.00 due with registration on or before April 1, 2009.

Final payment due on May 6.
