The Godmothers, established in 1999, is a charitable, non-profit agency supported by private donations, corporate sponsorship, and fund-raisers. Our goal, working in conjunction with many local agencies and teachers, is to give people in need hope and renewal of faith during the holiday season.

The families we encounter every year would have little or no Christmas at all, if it were not for people like you and groups like the Godmothers. Your donation will help ease the burden on families experiencing difficult times during the holiday season. The need for assistance is growing throughout southeastern Michigan and we want to show those in need that they matter and that we care.

We provide each family member with badly need clothing, a few toys, and a homemade stocking filled with candy and small toys. Each child also receives a Holiday Godmothers T-Shirt during delivery of the donations. The Godmothers wrap and deliver every package. In addition, we give each family extra food for the holidays and a Christmas dinner. We are the last resort for many of these families.

Godmothers' Mission
To make a difference for the needy children and adults living in our community, addressing the needs of foster children, children living in homeless shelters or children and families living in difficult situations.

We are committed to helping the most important and most helpless members of the society, i.e. our children in whose hands lie the future of the world.

Our newest project is to help out families after a disaster. Using our resources to bring food, clothing, etc. during an emergency situation when they so desperately need the assistance.

We are strictly funded by fundraisers that we put on through out the year, and donations. Our projects vary every year along with our Volunteers. Our volunteers help out one season and they might take a break, and then come back the next project to help. We are unique in that respect.

One thing that never changes is the
NEED FOR HELP!
Our Christmas program is the biggest project that we do all year. We help people out in our community that are in need during the Holiday Season. Every year there seems to be more and more people in need that would otherwise go without the joy of Christmas.
